Why this trip works

Families are capable adventurers—not passengers.

Quick floats near the ghats are easy to find. This family rafting trip is different: a continuous 100 km experience refined across several seasons, with three full days on the water and shared evenings under open skies.

It fits a long weekend or a longer family break, giving parents and teenagers the time and space to work as a team and return with stories they made together.

  • A genuine 100 km river journey
  • Beach camps, bonfires and barbecue
  • Kayaking, cliff jumping and waterfall canyoning
  • Certificates for every finisher
  • Family-focused safety adjustments
  • Planned for any group size

The expedition

100 kilometres of shared adventure.

The expedition follows the Upper Alaknanda towards Rishikesh over 3 nights and 4 days, crossing lively rapids and quieter Himalayan water between carefully selected camps.

A mandatory fitness check comes first. If the full route is not the right fit for someone, the team may move them to a shorter 70 km stretch for safety.

Safety first

Professional protocols on every stretch.

Every departure receives the same safety standard. The rafting, kayaking, camping and support teams coordinate continuously, so first-timers and experienced rafters can focus on the journey.

Beyond rafting

The adventure continues after the paddles go down.

Evenings are part of the expedition, not empty time between rapids. Families eat together, sit by the fire and look up at skies far beyond the city glow.

Full plates, tired legs and real conversation are the rhythm of camp—exactly the kind of shared time this trip is built around.

  • Fresh breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner
  • Bonfire evenings and barbecue
  • Stargazing away from city lights
  • Waterfall dips and canyon exploration
  • Uninterrupted time together

FAQ

Family rafting questions, answered.

Yes, no prior rafting experience is needed. Guides run a full briefing and fitness check before anyone gets on the water, and the route is adjusted if a participant needs an easier stretch instead of the full 100 km.
