01 — By stretch
Rishikesh rafting price by river stretch
The Ganga above Rishikesh is broken into four commercial put-ins. Longer runs mean bigger rapids and higher prices — but the per-kilometre cost drops as the stretch gets longer.
| Stretch | Distance | Grade | Duration | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brahmpuri → Rishikesh | 9 km | I – II | 1.5 hrs on water | ₹600per person | First-timers, families, kids 14+ |
| Shivpuri → Rishikesh | 16 km | II – III | 2.5 – 3 hrs | ₹1,200per person | The classic Rishikesh trip |
| Marine Drive → Rishikesh | 25 km | III | 3.5 – 4 hrs | ₹1,700per person | Confident paddlers, small groups |
| Kaudiyala → Rishikesh | 36 km | III – IV | 5 – 6 hrs | ₹2,500per person | Experienced rafters, big-water days |
Prices are per person for groups of 6+. Smaller groups add ₹200–₹400 per person. GST extra where applicable. Rates valid for the 2026 season.

When to raft — and how season changes price
Sep – Nov · Post-monsoon
Warm water, big-volume waves, longest days on the river. The Kaudiyala run is at its most exciting. Prices are steady.
Dec – Feb · Winter
Cold water, low flows, clear Himalayan skies. Wetsuits recommended. Camp rates drop 10–15% mid-week.
Mar – Jun · Peak season
The commercial peak. Book Shivpuri and Kaudiyala at least 2 weeks in advance. Weekend rates on camps rise ~15%.
Ganga rafting closes end of June and reopens mid-September after the monsoon.
